Join us from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday 8 August for a cheerful shopping experience, meeting local makers and discovering a unique range of handcrafted creations from talented artisans across Auckland.

You'll find our smaller market in the Foyer (near the Library entrance), plus Dotterel and Godwit Rooms of the Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre.  These three welcoming spaces will be filled with creativity, making it easy to browse and explore at your own pace.

If you're looking for a genuine Auckland handmade market or a friendly West Auckland market, you've come to the right place.  Every stall is run by passionate local creators, offering handmade products you won't find in large chain stores.  From fashion jewellery and wood craft to sewing, knitting, crochet, home décor, candles, cards and one of a kind gifts, there's something for everyone.

Yarnsational Market - Saturday 13 June 2026 - Celebrate Worldwide Knit in Public Day & Sewing Machine Day

Winter markets have a special kind of atmosphere — warm drinks, cosy handmade creations, good conversations and people slowing down for a wander and a browse.  That’s exactly the feeling behind our upcoming Yarnsational Market.

Join us on Saturday 13 June in the Main Hall at the Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre for a creative winter market celebrating Worldwide Knit in Public Day and Sewing Machine Day.

Whether you knit, crochet, sew, craft or simply enjoy supporting local handmade, this relaxed community market is the perfect place to spend a winter Saturday in June.

You’ll discover a lovely mix of local artisans, fibre artists, makers and creators offering everything from knitted and crocheted creations to sewn goods, candles, soaps, jewellery, gifts, home décor, winter warmers and so much more.

There’ll also be our cosy café corner, hot drinks, music from our inhouse DJ and plenty of friendly faces throughout the day.

One thing making this market feel a little extra special is that it will be our final Main Hall market until October.  There’ll be no market in July, before we pop up in August and September in the smaller Foyer [outside the Library Entrance] and Godwit + Dotterel Rooms.

So while things may feel a little post-apocalyptic without the Main Hall for a little while, don’t worry — we’ll be back in August in September in the Foyer/Gallery and Main Hall in October onwards.
