We're all about celebrating creativity and giving Kiwi makers a space to showcase their own creations. Our market is small, friendly and a great place to meet other stallholders and display your craft.
Rules/Conduct:
We reserve the right to refuse participation at any markets for anyone who does not follow the confirmation, stall or conduct requirements.
Location:
- Main Hall
- Foyer/Gallery (occasionally)
Where is the market held?
Mostly we are in the Main Hall/Kotuku at 595 Te Atatu Road. Occasionally we use the Foyer/Gallery or rarely the Library Deck
When does the Market run?
Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Vendors need to be set up by the start of the market and stay until closing.
How big is a stall space?
Standard spaces are 2 m x 2 m. Bookings are essential.
What should I bring?
Bring tables, covers and display stands. Tablecloths should fully cover the table legs. Glass cases and gas cookers are not permitted.
Where can I park?
Parking is behind the Community Centre in the rear car-park. Cars are not allowed on the path between the Deck and the Playground/Park area.
What if I can't attend after being accepted?
We understand emergencies can happen. Let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your space to another creator.
Can I sell food at the market?
Yes, with prior approval from the market organiser. All food must follow local food safety rules and regulations and must be prepared in registered or graded kitchen facilities. Proof of certification, such as a current Food and Safety Certificate, must be provided and displayed.
How do I become a Stallholder?
Contact us to express interest and complete our application form. We'll review your application and let you know if you're accepted. Before each market, we'll ask you to confirm your attendance. We also have a standby list for creators selling similar products. Completing an application form does not guarantee a space.
When do I pack up?
Please have everything packed away and leave the space by 2:45 pm.
What's the difference between permanent and casual stallholders?
Permanent stallholders have attended a number of markets and may get the same space each time. (The same spot cannot always be guaranteed). Casual stallholders can attend when they're available.
Any tips for stallholders?
Yes! A smile goes a long way. Happy stallholders = happy customers.
