Stallholder Info

The Te Atatu Peninsula Artisan & Handmade Market celebrates creativity, and provides an outlet for kiwi creators and artisans to show off their talents.  Creators of wonderful things market their products and meet other stallholders.  We are a small and intimate market in a unique location.Foyer/Gallery, 595 Te Atatu Road, Te Atatu Peninsula

You will find us in the Main Hall at 595 Te Atatu Road, Te Atatu Peninsula and occasionally in the Foyer/Gallery and/or the Library Deck.  The market is from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Most stallholders prefer inside in the Main Hall.

Space Sizes and Cost:
Standard spaces are 2.0 metres deep x 2.0 metres long and each standard space costs $5.  If you need more space, please ask.  This needs to be arranged before market day and is only available in special circumstances.

What You Need to Bring:
Bring everything you need to set up your allocated space - tables, covers and display stands.  Tables should be covered with a neat and tidy cloth or sheet which is large enough to cover table legs at the front and sides.  Cloths should extend all the way down to the bottom of your table.  Glass cases are not permitted.  Gas cookers are not permitted.

Setup:
Stallholders need to be set up by the time the market starts and stay until closing.  Leave your space as you found it. Parking is at the rear behind the Community Centre.  Cars are not permitted to drive on the path between the Deck and the Playground.

Accepted and Unable to Attend?
We need as much notice as possible so we can allocate your space to another talented creator.  We realise last minute emergencies can happen - just get in touch ASAP.

Food Vendor Restrictions:

  • All food sold at the market must comply with local food safety regulations
  • Food prepared in non-registered kitchens is not permitted
  • Vendors must ensure food is prepared in registered or graded kitchen facilities.  Evidence of this, such as a food grading certificate or registration with appropriate authorities, must be provided.  Any food must meet these requirements to ensure food safety
  • Vendors selling food should adhere to all relevant local council rules and regulations
  • We run a unique and varied market as unique.  There is a standby list for stallholders who sell similar products to our regular stallholders.  We will get in touch a regular stallholder is unable to attend

The Process:

  • Contact us and let us know you are interested in the market
  • Complete an application form and wait for acceptance
  • We contact you before each market and you need to confirm your attendance as as possible, otherwise your space could be given to someone else
  • We run a unique and varied market.  There is a standby list for stallholders who sell similar products to our regular stallholders.  We will get in touch a regular stallholder is unable to attend  
Pack Up:
You need to be packed up and gone by 2:45 pm.

Permanent & Casual Stallholders:
We have a group of permanent stallholders.  To become a permanent stallholder you need to have attended a number of markets as a casual.  We try and allocate permanent stallholders in the same space on each market day.  However, the same spot each market day is unable to guaranteed.
